In case you missed last weeks meeting...Classification Talks are no longer for "new" Rotarians. We couldn't have been more impressed with our two speakers, Nicole Morrison and Jennifer Isett! Who knew Nicole had a "side gig" using the word "side" loosely. If there is someone that can get through pictures of 3 Rotary trips faster than Jen...challenge issued! If you are a new Rotarian and want to tell your story or been in Rotary for a while and have a new story today. Let our program committee know and they'll get you on the schedule. Eventually you may be asked... When Rotary started membership was category specific and a classification was necessary. As Rotary has evolved through the years, we are no longer category specific and we can have many members from the same industry. Also many of our members learned in the last RLI sessions the classifications are no longer required. On November 6th we will get a chance to hear from some of our newer members and help them carry on the tradition from our found Paul Harris - the Classification Talk. This is an opportunity for them to tell us about themselves - and the topics range from their business dealings to their personal lives. Most importantly - why they joined Rotary and their aspirations. This is a meeting you don't want to miss, learn about our members, maybe there is someone you want to learn more about and haven't had the chance to connect? Maybe you'll learn something new and really want to connect with that person? Either way come out and enjoy some time with your fellow Rotarians, you are sure to learn something new. |
