Thank you for taking a moment to read these important updates for our club. We are so lucky to have such a vibrant and engaged club. Our board and leadership appreciate the flexibility and adaptability all our membership has shown as we have navigated the landscape since Covid first arrived. And we couldn't be happier to see the great attendance at our meetings and to have welcomed so many new members this year. As we move into the 2nd half of our Rotary year we are excited to continue this growth and momentum. While we like to focus on our club activities and fellowship, from time to time, we need to highlight some important matters relating to club business. IMPORTANT CHANGES TO BILLING - EFFECTIVE JAN 1 - Return to quarterly invoicing
- Return to charging for 6 meals/qtr
At the emergence of Covid, we quickly transitioned to change our billing to reflect the virtual meeting environment. This included moving from quarterly to monthly invoicing and from charging for a minimum of 6 meals/qtr to removing the costs for meals altogether. Once hybrid meetings began we continued with monthly invoicing and only charged for meals for those in attendance. As of January 1st, our club will resume quarterly invoicing and all members will be charged for 6 meals/qtr. Additionally, we have been informed by Brookside that they will need to increase the price for meals. The final costs moving into 2022 have not yet been finalized and we will share additional details as they become available. We realize costs are important to all our members and we will work to ensure we try to minimize any increases. PAST DUE BALANCES The club is currently carrying a high amount of past due balances. Just like any household or business, our club has a budget which relies on timely payment by our members to cover dues and costs, such as meals. Robin Smith, our treasurer, has worked hard to make viewing and paying your invoice very easy. Please check your email for a message from rsmith879502@gmail.com with the subject line: Invoice XXXX from ROTARY CLUB OF POTTSTOWN. In the body of the email there is a link to " View and Pay Now" which will take you to a Quickbooks site and give you the option to pay by credit card or bank transfer. Please note that the club is charged for credit card transations and the bank transfer is preferred when possible. If you are unsure of your balance, or wish to discuss payment options, please feel free to contact Robin directly or you can check your balance on ClubRunner: - Go to PottstownRotary.org

Exclusive of omicron, Pennsylvania is currently considered a high risk state: We would like to encourage our members to wear masks at future meetings as a precaution. While this is not a requirement, we do have members with a range of risk level. Our 4-way test asks - "Is it fair to all concerned?", and the club leadership feels wearing masks is a good way to meet this ambition. Additionally, please remember we are heading into flu season and encourage members to consider getting your annual flu shot. As always, I and other members of our board are happy to address any questions or concerns you may have. Thank you for your attention and we look forward to continuing our successful 2021-2022 Rotary year! Yours in Rotary, Nicole Matz Club President 2021-2022 484-624-2468 |
