This week at Rotary - guest speaker Chele Hallman

"The Iron Globe . . . transforming Pottstown in 2022!"

Chele Hallman, with her business partners Andrew Monastra and Pat O'Connor, have a plan that will be the most advanced and innovative adaptive re-use ever of any former industrial property in the
tri-county area.  Did we mention that Chele and Andrew are also new, and soon-to-be-new, members respectively of the Pottstown Rotary Club?!

The Iron Globe Entertainment Complex will be the transformational center-piece of the Pottstown social scene, creating significant economic and cultural opportunities in a uniquely developed multipurpose complex.
If you can think of it, they have planned for it: music venue, restaurants and bars, outdoor activities including on the Schuylkill River, holiday-themed events.
Rotarians will be among the first to learn more about the details of this very recently announced plan.

Please note - we are planning to continue with a hybrid meeting format.  For hybrid meetings we are aiming for a minimum of 20 in-person attendees in order to support the meeting logistics.  For those comfortable to attend in person, masking and social distancing rules will be followed although relaxed if you are vaccinated.  Registration is required for in-person attendance so that we can plan meals. Register here if you have not done so.

District 7430 Stock the Box event

This Rotary year, District 7430 plans to be the first Rotary district where every club participates in the effort to provide shelter to families displaced by conflict and natural disaster. We challenge every club to meet or exceed their prior support for ShelterBox, Rotary's partner in global disaster relief. When we succeed, our district will be acknowledged on the ShelterBox USA website, at the 2021 Rotary International Convention in Houston, and at the International Assembly.

You can participate by bringing your donation to the District 7430 Stock the Box event on September 10th at The Steel Club, Hellertown , PA 18055
Tickets ($65) include dinner and dueling pianos entertainment and are on sale at EventBright Stock the Box

Donations can also be sent directly to ShelterBox:101 INNOVATION PLACE, SANTA BARBARA, CA 93108

Purple Pinkie Race 2021

==========================================================================

A special note from our District Governor:

We District 7430 Rotarians want to finish the polio eradication job begun in 1985.  The best way to fund the vaccines needed is to give generously through the Yvette Palmer Purple Pinkie Race to Zero.
Please join us on October 2, 2021 by registering on the link provided through the District website Race to Zero - Fight Polio | District 7430 (rotarydistrict7430.org) or directly on Facebook at:

You can participate in the 5K run/walk, ride a bicycle, and have children walk in the 1-miler.  If you prefer, join us at the Octoberfest for music, German food and beverages.  Learn more from our video at this you.tube link  https://youtu.be/H2wZane2Jn8

All events will take place at the Schnecksville Community Fairgrounds.
I thank you for your support and look forward to having fun "doing good" with you!
