This past Friday morning at Family Services of Montgomery County in Pottstown, the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Senior Services honored 50-year volunteer, Jean Spotts, for her time and dedication to the Meals on Wheels program.
Administrator Doreen Hespell presented Mrs. Spotts with a proclamation from the Montgomery County Commissioners while Deputy Administrator Elliott Smith presented her with a certificate of recognition from PA Department of Aging Secretary Robert Torres.
Mrs. Spotts was very humbled and thankful for the recognition noting that some of her favorite memories were introducing her grandchildren to the joy of volunteering.
Jean is a long-time member of the Pottstown Rotary being the first woman to join our club. She is an integral part of many of our activities and committees.
We applaud her dedication, not only to Rotary but to Meals-on-Wheels as well.
